The Florence project was commissioned by the University of Queensland to create a video that provided context for its research project on people using technology to aid in living with Dementia.
A presentation was provided and from this, a full concept was developed from audio narration that discussed what the research was and how it was intended to help people with Dementia. It was developed as a way for people who suffer from Dementia to watch the animation and help them understand how the technology may help them. It was a requirement to keep the animation very limited so as not to trigger their interaction with the animation.
All illustrations were original, created in Adobe Illustrator and brought into Adobe After Effects for animation.
The project was very rewarding given who the audience was and how they can use the research outcomes to live a fuller, more engaging life.
