I am a graphic designer with a passion for all design disciplines, I don’t believe you can appreciate just one form of art, whether that be photography, film, music or whatever, it’s all important. It continually amazes me at the ingenuity of people who come up with new ways to be creative , its a pleasant addiction.

I do feel however that creative design falls flat, unless for purely aesthetics, then it isn’t graphic design, it’s art, with poor technical implementation. After all the web and certainly mobile devices require a proficient application of good, clean, validated code behind the aesthetics.

Where do we draw the line between aesthetics and beauty and just plain dull HTML representation? That’s where I think the future will be, combining simple content (text, code, images and video) with glorious, usable, content driven interfaces, whether they be web, i-whatever, google-whatever, windows-whatever or any of the other devices waiting in the winds.
